Worried about LGBT issues? Help is available.
The Vicar's Letter in the March Burton News (page 10) generated several angry responses from readers in the April Burton News (page 2) to his comments about LGBT people. We understand that responses continue to come in for the May issue (due out 1st May) about the issue.
Anyone worried and in need of help or support, or just wanting more information about LGBT matters, may be interested to look at the work of Stonewall, the campaigning and support group for LGBT people, which we are pleased to be able to highlight here.

The King's Arms at Christmas: Oh! those decorations...
As usual, the decorations at The King's Arms in Burton-in-Kendal are superb! Neil and Ann France take huge delight in a Christmas spectacle each year, and every year they get better and better!
Why not pop along and see for yourself, and whilst you are there enjoy a meal from their Christmas menu.
As they have wonderful accommodation, including a ground floor enabled room suite, you could make a night of it and not have the bother of driving home afterwards.
Spoil yourself, it's only Christmas once a year!
